Historical sites in Greenland on Web-GIS
Nunatta Katersugaasivia Allagaateqarfialu, NKA (Greenland National Museum & Archives) wants to show historical records on the World Wide Web. Using GIS technology NIRAS is developing a website where navigation through a map interface makes locating the records more efficient and intuitive.

The challenge of water power close to the edge of the inland ice
The planned Ilulissat water power station is located very close to the edge of the Greenland inland ice, and the water in the proposed reservoir is close to the freezing point. This will introduce a risk for freezing or supercooled water in the headrace tunnel situated in permafrost.
NIRAS has studied this phenomenon in details, and NIRAS will take part in the design group for the coming planning of the project.

New container port in Nuuk
New container port in Nuuk. NIRAS has worked out different solutions for the placement of a new port in Qeqertat. The solutions cover various placements of a quay with a hinterland of 40,000 square meters. The project is intended to be a pilot project for the privatisation of other projects related to the infrastructure in Greenland.
